Nationals, Homecomings, Spin Class Comebacks & A 19-Year-Old Homeowner

This past week I got to sneak away to Orlando with my sister and my niece for Cheer Nationals and let me tell you, it was a BLAST. Watching her compete is always so much fun!
And can we just talk about how incredibly talented she is? Truly. The dedication, the confidence, the athleticism she absolutely shined. Watching her do what she loves at that level was such a gift. I am beyond proud of her.
My sister booked the dreamiest resort. Absolutely beautiful. Pool views, palm trees, all the vibes… except the weather had other plans. It was in the 40s. In Orlando. I mean… what are the odds? That’s my luck. We packed for sunshine and got sweater weather instead.
Even with the chill, the memories were warm and that’s what matters.
But here’s the part that surprised me most…
Coming home after just four days away from my family was the BEST feeling. I was genuinely homesick. Four days! Who even am I?
Walking back through my front door felt like Christmas morning. My excited dogs, the noise, my people. It hit me differently this time.
And I’ll admit… my husband might have been just a tiny bit jealous that I was off on a girls’ trip. But honestly? That’s kind of a good feeling knowing after all this time, I still got it. 😉
It gave me such a deeper appreciation for him, though. He has done long stretches away over the years without complaint. Months. Years. Sacrifice after sacrifice.
And to all my military families and friends out there this was hard for me for four days. You do this regularly. You are strong in ways most people will never understand. Thank you for your service, your resilience, and your commitment. It does not go unnoticed.
The Spin Class Comeback (10 Years Later!)
Now let’s switch gears literally.
After 10 years, I’m getting back on the bike and teaching spin again! And I cannot even explain how excited I am.
This isn’t just a workout this is going to be an experience.
We’re talking:
- Hip hop rides
- Country throw downs
- Latin heat
- Britney throwbacks (because obviously)
- And all kinds of surprise themes
This class is going to be high energy, high fun, and welcoming for all ages and levels. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or haven’t touched a spin bike in your life you’re invited.
Fun + cardio = win-win.
I’ll be sharing more details next week so you can plan to come join the party. Yes, I said party. Because if we’re going to sweat, we might as well have a blast doing it.
Real Estate Is Picking Up
And now for the neighborhood update…
Things are moving.
I had three listings that had been sitting on the market go under contract and one of them received two offers. That is a major shift in energy.
Buyers are watching. They’re waiting. But they’re also starting to move.
If you’ve been on the fence waiting for rates to drop to some perfect number, here’s the truth: the market doesn’t wait for perfect. When activity picks up, competition picks up.
If you’re renting and thinking “maybe next year,” I encourage you to take a serious look at what ownership could look like for you. Stop padding someone else’s pocket and start building your own future. There is nothing like the feeling of unlocking the door to something that’s yours.
It’s empowering. It’s stabilizing. It’s wealth-building.
And it’s possible.
A Closing That Hit My Heart
Now let me tell you about a closing that I will not forget.
My buyers are 19 years old. Married. Military. And they just bought their first home.
Nineteen.
Prepared. Determined. Mature beyond their years.
And let’s not forget their adorable Aussiedoodle puppy, who officially has a backyard now.
Watching them sign those papers and step into home-ownership was powerful. I was so proud of them and I’m not even their momma. Seeing young families start strong like that? It gives me hope.
This is why I love what I do.
Life lately has been a mix of family trips, chilly Florida weather, heartfelt gratitude, exciting comebacks, a tiny bit of husband jealousy, and SOLD signs.
And honestly? It feels good.
If you’re thinking about buying, selling, investing, or hopping on a spin bike with me I’m here for it all.
